Catalyst Enterprise Server
Catalyst Enterprise Server runs the entire platform inside your infrastructure: both the Catalyst control plane and the Catalyst data plane. Nothing phones home, and the deployment can be fully air-gapped with no external connectivity at all.
This is the only model where Diagrid does not run the control plane. It suits environments where regulatory, contractual, or network-isolation requirements rule out any dependency on a vendor-hosted service — regulated industries, government, and defense.
How it differs from the other models
| Cloud | Dedicated Cloud | BYOC | Enterprise Server | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Control plane | Diagrid | Diagrid | Diagrid | You |
| Data plane | Diagrid | Diagrid | Your cloud | You |
| External connectivity | Required | Required | Required | None — can be air-gapped |
Because the control plane runs in your environment, you own the full platform lifecycle: installation, upgrades, backups, and capacity planning. Container images and charts are delivered for your internal registry rather than pulled from Diagrid.
If you want your data to stay in your own network but would rather Diagrid keep operating the control plane, BYOC is the better fit.
