FAQs

Q: What is the Diagrid Catalyst Free Plan for?

The Free Plan is provided at no cost to try out Catalyst's capabilities. It is not intended for production use. For higher limits and other production-level features, please contact us.

Q: Where is Diagrid Catalyst hosted?

Catalyst's API Data Plane operates on AWS today, but we are looking to add additional clouds and regions in the future.

Q: Is data stored in Diagrid managed infrastructure services encrypted at rest?

All data within Diagrid managed infrastructure services is encrypted at rest to ensure maximum security.

Q: How are application and component secrets stored?

All secrets passed to Catalyst are encrypted and stored in a cloud secret manager.

Q: Do you offer network security features such as VPC Peering or IP Whitelisting?

Today we provide IP address/FQDN whitelisting capabilities using the project ingress/egress addresses found on the Catalyst projects page. We are working on integrating additional networking features such as AWS PrivateLink and Azure Private Link. Contact us to learn more about their availability.

Q: Are you compliant with industry standards and certifications?

Diagrid has SOC 2 Type 1 certification.

Q: Is Catalyst based on the Dapr project?

Catalyst is built upon the Dapr project and other open-source technologies. While Catalyst is not entirely open-source due to the intricacies of SaaS product development and maintenance, user adaptability is a priority. The Catalyst APIs align with the Dapr APIs, and can be accessed via the open source Dapr SDKs. Alignment to Dapr ensures that applications developed with Catalyst can transition to open-source Dapr if desired. This includes compatibility with Dapr resource specifications, such as Components and Subscriptions, allowing users to both onboard existing Dapr specs into Catalyst and export Catalyst resources into Dapr specs.

Q: How can I provide feedback or report issues?

Your feedback is essential to us. Please use the Catalyst Feedback GitHub repo to start discussions, raise bugs and request features. You can also email the Diagrid team directly at catalyst@diagrid.io.

Q: What is the response times for support queries?

Diagrid offers product support for Catalyst during business hours from 8 AM - 5 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), Monday to Friday, not including public holidays. Support queries will be addressed within a 5-day window.
